When does the WoW Forever beta start?
The beta is scheduled to begin September 17 and run through October 21, 2026, Pacific time. Blizzard has not specified an exact opening hour or a complete list of content available on day one. Those details may arrive in a later update. We will add confirmed information here when Blizzard publishes it. The separate game launch is scheduled globally for November 4, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. Pacific time.
Who gets beta access?
According to Blizzard’s upgrade announcement, beta access beginning September 17 is included with the Skyborne Epic Pack and the limited-time Warcraft Forever Collection. The Epic Pack also includes the benefits of the Heroic Pack, 30 days of World of Warcraft Game Time starting November 4, additional cosmetics, pets, tabards, and three total Invite-A-Friend Launch Codes. The Collection includes the Epic benefits, Warcraft III: Reforged, the Forsaken Kingdom campaign, and related housing decor.
The Skyborne Heroic Pack is listed separately and is not described as including beta access. A standard World of Warcraft subscription or Game Time will include access to World of Warcraft: Forever when it launches on November 4, but Blizzard’s announcement does not say a subscription alone unlocks this pre-launch beta. How to prepare for beta access
- Check the edition on your Battle.net account. Confirm that the account you intend to use owns the Epic Pack or Warcraft Forever Collection. If you bought a physical Collector’s Edition or redeemed a code, verify that the entitlement is attached to the correct Battle.net account.
- Use Blizzard’s official channels. Start from the Battle.net desktop app or the official Battle.net Shop. Blizzard has not yet published Forever-specific client installation steps in the announcement linked below, so we will update this guide when the beta instructions are available.
- Check the account after beta access is enabled. Look for a World of Warcraft: Forever beta option or entitlement in the official Battle.net app/account interface. Do not assume a marketing email alone proves access; verify through your account directly.
- Allow time for updates. Update Battle.net and your graphics drivers before launch day if convenient, and leave room for a large game download. Blizzard has not announced a Forever beta download size or system requirements in the cited post.
Beta access troubleshooting and scam checks
If you own an eligible edition but cannot see the beta, first confirm you are signed into the Battle.net account that made the purchase. Check the edition’s product details and account entitlements, restart the Battle.net app, and look for official updates or service notices. Availability can depend on Blizzard enabling access and publishing the client listing; repeatedly reinstalling the game will not add an entitlement that is missing from the account. If the entitlement still does not appear after Blizzard says access is active, use official Blizzard Support rather than a third-party “beta unlock” service.
