Forsaken Paladins are confirmed for World of Warcraft: Forever—and Blizzard has revealed that their level-60 epic mount quest will give them a steed earned in the name of Retribution. Yes: “Forsaken” means the undead race, not a separate Paladin order or Warcraft III hero unit.
Undead Paladins are coming to Forever
Blizzard’s World of Warcraft: Forever Found Photos panel recap names Forsaken Paladins as part of the project. The recap describes them as former Paladins who are now undead: they face deep mistrust from other Forsaken and are still learning what it means to channel the Light in undeath. Their story follows on from the new Warcraft III: Reforged – Forsaken Kingdom campaign and begins close to home, at Bandarion Keep in the Whispering Wood of Tirisfal Glades.
That gives the race/class choice a distinct story hook. The Paladins are not simply ordinary members of the Argent Dawn who happen to look undead. They are Forsaken characters trying to find a place in a society that associates Paladins with the Scarlet Crusade and its violence against the undead.
A level-60 epic mount quest called Retribution
The most striking reveal for mount collectors is Blizzard’s confirmation that Forsaken Paladins receive their own epic mount quest at level 60. In the panel recap’s words, Alliance Paladins claim their epic charger in the name of Redemption, while Forsaken Paladins ride in the name of Retribution. That confirms a dedicated Forsaken Paladin mount-quest reward and its theme; Blizzard has not yet published the quest steps, reward’s official name, or other acquisition details.
The mount image above was shared by an attendee at BlizzCon under the title “First look at the Forsaken paladin charger.” It shows an armored skeletal-looking steed presented for the Forever version. The panel recap confirms the quest and its Retribution framing, while the attendee post supplies this early visual; treat its appearance as a first look rather than a full item or quest guide.
