Healing potions are getting a profession shake-up in the current WoW: Forever build: First Aid, rather than Alchemy, is being used to craft the standard healing-potion line.
First Aid skill requirements
The progression currently reported for the recipes is:
| Potion | First Aid skill |
|---|---|
| Minor Healing Potion | 55 |
| Lesser Healing Potion | 85 |
| Healing Potion | 135 |
| Greater Healing Potion | 155 |
| Superior Healing Potion | 215 |
| Major Healing Potion | 275 |
The Greater, Superior, and Major recipes are tied to manuals, so players will need to track down those recipe sources as they level First Aid.
What changes for materials?
The potions still use the familiar combination of herbs and vials, but the updated recipes also call for cooking components such as Mild Spices and Hot Spices. That makes First Aid more closely connected to the rest of the profession system and gives players another reason to keep Cooking stocked while leveling.
Why this matters while leveling
This change makes First Aid useful for more than bandages. Characters that previously skipped the profession—especially classes with reliable self-healing—can now use it to keep a supply of healing potions on hand as they level. It also changes the profession decision for players who want dependable consumables without relying on an Alchemist.
Because WoW: Forever is still in development, recipe requirements and materials may change before launch. We’ll update this post if Blizzard revises the profession data.
