Prince Nazjak is the underwater rare naga players hunt in the Drowned Reef off Arathi Highlands for the Tidal Charm. Start from the southern coast near Faldir’s Cove and search the sunken ships and nearby ruins south of Stromgarde Keep. There is no single dependable pin: players report several possible spawn spots across this small underwater cluster, so sweep the whole area instead of waiting at one coordinate.
Where to find Prince Nazjak
Prince Nazjak is a level 41 rare found underwater in the Drowned Reef, in the southern part of Arathi Highlands. Faldir’s Cove is the useful shoreline landmark; from there, swim out toward the wrecks and the ruined structures on the seabed. Coordinates around 26,83 are often used as a starting reference, but reports also place him farther across the wreck area. Treat coordinates as the center of a search route, not a guarantee that he will be standing on that exact spot.
Every reported spawn area to check
Classic player reports describe Prince Nazjak appearing at several points around the Drowned Reef:
- Inside either sunken ship: check the lower hull and interior rooms, including the wreck closer to shore and the farther ship. Some reports also put him on a ship deck.
- The underwater ruins: search the open courtyard, rooms beneath the broken roof, and the space around the ruined temple structures.
- The bunker or tunnel: players have reported him inside a bunker-like ruin and beneath a roofed underwater passage.
- Outside the ruins: sweep the seabed near the half-buried stone head and the outer edge of the ruin cluster, especially toward the ships.
These are community sightings, not an official Blizzard spawn map. The reports disagree on the exact points and descriptions, but they consistently indicate that the search area includes both wrecks and the nearby ruins. A quick scan of only one ship can miss him.
A practical underwater search route
From the coast by Faldir’s Cove, descend and sweep the first wreck from bow to stern, including its lower interior. Cross the seabed to the second ship and check its rooms and deck. Then circle the ruins: inspect the courtyard, covered openings, bunker-like spaces, and nearby stone features before making a wider pass between the ruins and both ships. Keep enough breath for the full circuit; water-breathing consumables or gear and a swim-speed option make repeated checks easier.
A simple /target Prince Nazjak macro can help announce a target when you are close enough, and a rare-mob scanner can provide another alert. Neither replaces swimming through the full area: the macro has a limited range and line of sight can be blocked by wrecks or terrain. The rare is contested, so arrive prepared to tag and fight rather than assuming you will have the spot to yourself.
The video shows the route from the shore, a pass through the first and second wrecks, a map check, and the fight and loot. Watch the Prince Nazjak location walkthrough on YouTube.
How long does Prince Nazjak take to respawn?
Historical Classic community reports often estimate a long respawn window, commonly around 32–48 hours, but that figure is based on player observations rather than a guaranteed published timer. Reports vary by version and server, and an estimate cannot tell you exactly when the next spawn will appear. If you are farming the trinket, record when the rare is killed, check the area periodically, and search all reported points each visit. Avoid planning around a precise hour or assuming a reset will make him appear.
What the Tidal Charm does
The Tidal Charm is a Bind-on-Pickup trinket with item level 41 and a level 36 requirement. Its on-use effect stuns a target for 3 seconds and has a 15-minute cooldown. Classic item references list a 30-yard range; the effect can be resisted, with an increased chance against targets above level 60. It has no passive stat bonus, so its value comes from the extra control at the moment you choose to use it. Check the tooltip on your current Classic version in case its exact wording differs.
That short stun can interrupt a cast, stop an enemy from escaping, create a window to close distance, or buy a few seconds to disengage. It is especially attractive to characters whose class toolkit has fewer reliable ways to control an opponent at range. In PvP, think of it as one deliberate control button: a 15-minute cooldown means timing matters, and targets can resist it. It is not a replacement for your class abilities or a guaranteed opener.
The drop is not guaranteed
Prince Nazjak is the source of the Tidal Charm, but killing him does not guarantee the trinket. Published database drop estimates differ, so this guide does not promise a precise percentage. If the charm does not drop, the next hunt means finding the rare again; keep the long, uncertain respawn reports in mind before committing to a camp.
