Humans bring the kingdoms of Stormwind and the Alliance’s central story into World of Warcraft: Forever. Their broad class roster now includes Hunter, one of six newly announced race-and-class combinations. This guide separates confirmed character-creation options from beta details that may still change.
Human identity in WoW Forever
Human characters are closely tied to Stormwind, the kingdom’s conflicts, and the people living across its territories. Choose a Human if that Alliance perspective appeals to you, or if you want a flexible set of class choices under one race. Their recognizable fantasy supports several distinct approaches, from holy support and spellcasting to stealth, weapon combat, and ranged hunting.
Human classes and faction
Humans are an Alliance race. Blizzard’s September 22 character-creation overview lists Human access to Hunter, Mage, Paladin, Priest, Rogue, Warlock, and Warrior. Human Hunter is newly confirmed for Forever, joining the existing possibilities across ranged damage, spellcasting, healing, stealth, and melee combat.

Racials and what is confirmed
Forever is revising racial kits around two active and two passive abilities per race. Blizzard says the design aims to retain recognizable utility while keeping offensive value in a comparable range. Consult the in-game beta tooltip for the current Human abilities; older Classic descriptions and rankings may not match the live test build. We’ll expand this section when Blizzard publishes or verifies the complete Human kit.
How to choose a Human build
Pick the class whose role sounds fun before worrying about a “best” race. Human characters have several class paths, but your group needs, preferred combat range, and interest in healing or pet play matter more than an unverified tier list. If you are joining friends, confirm Alliance first, then compare the Human options with your preferred class.

September 24, 2026 beta update
Blizzard adjusted the presentation of the Human racial Will to Survive so its visual now matches Dispel Magic. The notes describe a visual correction rather than a change to the racial’s gameplay effect. Check the current beta build for the latest presentation.
