WoW Forever Campsites Add Hour-Long Buffs to the Leveling Journey

Camping is one of WoW Forever’s systems designed to put more player interaction into the level 1–60 world. Blizzard’s official What’s Next panel recap confirms craftable outdoor campfires where other adventurers can stop, contribute through professions, and share campsite buffs. The Deep Dive demo coverage adds more detail: buffs last an hour, and players activate them by sitting beside the fire.

How a campsite works

According to the panel walkthrough, a basic campfire creates a rest stop in the outdoor world. Players nearby can use services such as vendors and repairs, then type /sit beside the fire and wait briefly to receive the campsite buff. A camp can hold up to three crafted objects, with one contribution from each player.

Professions add the campsite objects

Profession objects turn the camp into a group utility system. Demo coverage showed a blacksmith’s sharpening wheel granting nearby players 34 Strength at 20 Blacksmithing. An anvil at 140 and a Master Forge at 300 offer the same Strength benefit, with the higher objects adding crafting utility. Tailors can place a faction banner and herbalists an incense candle; the panel described their effects as Spirit and Intellect buffs.

These bonuses replace the matching class buffs while active, rather than stacking with them. More advanced campsite objects are learned from blueprint recipes found during adventures. The panel also said camping features share a one-hour cooldown, so the system is built around occasional preparation and cooperation, not constant buff refreshes.

What is still being filled in

The core system is confirmed, while the full list of professions, object effects, blueprint locations, and final tuning has not yet been published. See our WoW Forever campsites guide for the developing overview; we’ll update it as Blizzard shares specifics.
