WoW Forever’s beta is giving the Alliance side of Azeroth a fresh early-game route, and this Human Hunter walkthrough follows that route from character creation in Elwynn Forest to Stormwind Harbor and the coast of Darkshore. The video is a hands-on look at what is currently playable, including new profession discoveries, early questing, updated scenery, and several small details that make the Alliance journey feel different in beta.
Starting the Human Hunter journey
The walkthrough begins with a new Human Hunter and the early leveling experience on the Alliance side. The opening route moves through the familiar Elwynn Forest landscape while showing how the beta’s pacing feels in practice. Wolves, kobolds, early quests, and the first level milestones lead into a few unexpected moments, including the full Julius Caesar duel gag that appears during the opening stretch.
One of the most interesting changes is how quickly the game begins pointing players toward professions. Junior profession trainers and early profession areas appear close to the starting route, making the systems feel like part of the normal leveling journey instead of something players have to go looking for much later. The video treats these details as beta observations rather than final documentation, since NPC placement, quest steps, and rewards can still change.
Early professions and Camping 101 in Elwynn Forest
As the Hunter moves through the early Human content, the route leads into the expanded Camping 101 area. The camp is tied to the broader profession and outdoor systems being tested in WoW Forever, and the surrounding scenery helps show how the early zones are being built out beyond the traditional quest hubs. The video also finds new fishermen around Crystal Lake, another small discovery that makes the zone feel more active and gives the route a few more reasons to explore.
The early profession discoveries are especially useful for new players because they appear alongside the regular leveling path. Rather than stopping the journey to study a separate system, the video shows how these trainers and camp-related areas can be found naturally while completing quests. That makes the Alliance starting experience feel like more than a straight line from one objective to the next. For additional beta profession context, see our WoW Forever profession field notes.

Walking into Stormwind and finding the barbershop
At around level six, the Human Hunter heads toward Stormwind. The first arrival is one of the main highlights of the video: it is a chance to see how the capital looks and feels when reached through the live beta leveling route instead of a standalone city showcase. The walkthrough follows the city streets, checks in with the General, and captures the reaction to finally stepping into Stormwind.
The Stormwind barbershop is another memorable stop. The video explores the character options available there and includes an unexpected girl-to-guy joke while testing the interface. It is a small feature, but it shows how the beta’s character customization systems are becoming part of the world players interact with during normal progression.
Stormwind Harbor, the wrong boat, and Darkshore
From Stormwind, the route continues toward the harbor. The approach gives the video an extended look at the city’s water, fog, stairs, harbor structures, and updated visual effects. The harbor water gets a direct comparison to Sea of Thieves, and the footage shows why the area stands out as one of the more visually interesting Alliance destinations in this early beta build.
The trip does not go exactly as planned. After boarding a boat, the walkthrough realizes that the route is heading toward Darnassus rather than the intended destination. That mistake turns into another useful beta tour, eventually leading to Darkshore. The zone’s fog, mountains, and updated scenery provide the closing visual payoff and offer a glimpse at how the surrounding Alliance areas are being reworked.
