Azeroth Plus is building a WoW Classic and vanilla guide library for exploring original Azeroth. This hub will connect zone notes, practical gameplay explainers, and individual NPC location guides as each one is researched and published. The first spokes draw on questions raised by our gameplay videos, with each article labeled for the Classic version it covers.
What this WoW Classic hub covers
“WoW Classic” can describe several versions and realm rulesets. Blizzard has described Classic Era as a way to continue in original Classic content, while other Classic experiences can progress or use different rules. That distinction matters for NPCs: locations, availability, behavior, and loot can differ by game version or update. Our location pages will say which version was observed or used as the reference, and will flag details that still need an in-game check. See Blizzard’s overview of WoW Classic and Classic Era realms for the original distinction.
This hub is for original Azeroth and WoW Classic coverage. WoW Forever is its own project with announced changes and new content; visit the separate WoW Forever hub for those guides. We keep the two coverage tracks separate so a Classic Era route is not mistaken for a WoW Forever beta location.
How to use an NPC location guide
- Confirm the version. Check the guide’s Classic version note before following a route or comparing a spawn.
- Use landmarks first. Each guide will describe the zone and nearby terrain or settlement so you can orient yourself without relying only on coordinates.
- Check the full route. Some named creatures move through an area. A single point on a map may not describe the whole patrol.
- Treat timers carefully. We will not publish a precise respawn timer unless we can support it with reliable evidence. A creature not being visible at one moment does not prove a specific timer.
- Follow the video for visuals. The companion gameplay footage can help you recognize the terrain and the NPC, while the page keeps the route and reference notes easy to revisit.
Explore Classic Azeroth by zone
The location library will grow into a zone-by-zone directory, beginning with the places covered in our videos and expanding when we can add useful, verified guidance. Each future spoke should link back here, identify its zone and NPC in the title, and connect to related location guides in the same region where that helps with planning a route.
For now, use this page as the starting point for Azeroth Plus’s Classic location coverage. We will add direct links here as each NPC guide is ready, rather than listing empty or unverified entries. When a guide uses database material to check spelling or version history, we will label that reference clearly; for example, Wowhead’s Classic database entry for Swiftmane can help distinguish the Classic NPC entry from similarly named results.
Our update and evidence approach
Location details are easiest to trust when the page separates what was directly seen from what comes from a reference database or community report. We will note the version, show the useful route or landmarks, and revise an article when new footage or a better source changes the answer. If a detail cannot yet be confirmed, we will say so plainly.

NPC and rare spawn location guides
Rare creatures are only one reason players search for a specific NPC. A useful location guide can also cover a patrol, quest character, vendor, trainer, or another named mob that is hard to find. The upcoming Azeroth Plus location spokes will focus on the exact question a player has: where to go, what nearby landmark to use, what the NPC does, and what to check if it is not there.
Initial coverage will build from NPCs featured in our gameplay videos, including searches around Swiftmane. We will verify each name and game version before publishing the corresponding location page. If a search result uses an uncertain or misspelled name, the guide will identify the likely NPC carefully instead of presenting a guess as fact.
For a published rare-spawn example, read the Prince Nazjak location and Tidal Charm guide. It covers the route to the Drowned Reef, the underwater search around the shipwrecks, and the trinket tied to the encounter.
