Hardcore is officially coming to World of Warcraft: Forever. Associate Production Director Clay Stone announced it during BlizzCon’s What’s Next panel, and Blizzard’s official recap lists Hardcore among the major updates planned after launch.

Stone described Hardcore as an important moment in the relationship between Blizzard and the WoW community, then directed viewers to a dedicated Hardcore panel for more information. The announcement confirms the mode is part of the Forever roadmap, but Blizzard has not yet published its Forever-specific rules, release date, or how it will interact with the game’s rulesets.
