World of Warcraft: Forever expands original Azeroth with new places woven into the level 1–60 journey. Blizzard has announced four regions so far: Mount Hyjal, Shen’dralas, the Riverglades, and Zephras Isle. This hub compares what is known, points you to each detailed zone page, and separates confirmed details from information that still needs beta verification.
These areas serve different purposes. Zephras Isle is a level 1–12 starting experience for the new Skyborne race; the Riverglades is a mid-level questing frontier; Mount Hyjal and Shen’dralas add new stories to familiar parts of Azeroth. Blizzard has emphasized that Forever has no flying mounts and no level scaling, so travel, preparation, and choosing an appropriate route remain part of the experience.

Mount Hyjal: a recovering land and future endgame
Mount Hyjal’s announced story begins in the aftermath of Archimonde’s defeat. Blizzard describes players traveling through Darkwhisper Gorge and helping shape the future of a recovering land. That framing makes Hyjal both a new questing destination and a place where Warcraft history continues rather than simply repeats.
Hyjal also connects to planned endgame content. Blizzard’s panel recap identifies Hyjal Summit as a 20-player raid. That is a raid destination, not a published leveling range for the outdoor region, so check current in-game requirements and official updates before planning a character around a specific level. See the Mount Hyjal page for the dedicated overview.
Shen’dralas: history between Mulgore and Desolace
Shen’dralas brings a new adventure into a part of Kalimdor connected to the Shen’dralar and the history of Eldre’Thalas, better known to many players through Dire Maul. Blizzard also ties the region’s story to the centaur tribes. The result is a place where new quests can build on established names and rivalries without requiring players to leave original Azeroth behind.
The official overview places Shen’dralas between Mulgore and Desolace. Blizzard has not published a definitive level band in that overview, so treat suggested routes and any beta-specific quest levels as provisional. Start with the Shen’dralas region guide and follow its linked updates as details are tested.
Riverglades: a mid-level frontier
The Riverglades is the clearest mid-level anchor among the announced regions. Blizzard describes a rugged frontier of rivers, grasslands, trade routes, struggling communities, and old grudges, with more than 150 new quests spanning much of the mid-30s to mid-40s experience. That broad band is useful for planning, but it should not be read as a guarantee that every quest or sub-area has the same level.
Think of the Riverglades as a connected journey rather than a checklist: follow local conflicts, explore the routes between settlements, and use the current quest log to decide when to move on. The Riverglades guide collects the named locations and beta details as they become verifiable.
Zephras Isle: the Skyborne opening, levels 1–12
Zephras Isle is the new Skyborne starting experience. Blizzard sets its level range at 1–12 and describes a story shaped by wind and ancestry. The Skyborne descend from Highborne exiles who made a pact with elemental wind spirits and built a civilization in Skywall. On the island, those protective spirits have vanished, structures are failing, and different communities disagree about what comes next.
At character creation, Skyborne choose the Horde-aligned Windshapers or the Alliance-aligned High Order. That choice affects the available class list: Shaman is the Windshaper-specific option, Mage is High Order-specific, and Druid, Hunter, Rogue, and Warrior are shared. See the detailed Skyborne race guide and the WoW Forever races hub for character-creation context. The Zephras Isle guide focuses on the zone itself.
How to plan a region route
- Match the journey to your level. The published level guidance is specific for Zephras Isle and broad for the Riverglades. Confirm the live beta quest requirements for every other route.
- Expect travel to matter. Blizzard says there are no flying mounts and no level scaling. Build time for moving between quest areas, grouping, and returning to a hub.
- Choose your starting story deliberately. Zephras Isle is the Skyborne opening. For other characters, use the current in-game starting options and the class and race guides rather than assuming every race follows the same route.
- Recheck beta information. Quest counts, access, rewards, level ranges, and raid schedules can change while testing. We label early observations and update this hub when stronger official or in-game evidence is available.
