Rogues rely on stealth, precise melee attacks, and control. They suit players who enjoy choosing the terms of an encounter, moving through the world with discretion, and using timing and utility as part of their combat decisions.
Rogue playstyle
Rogues are a melee class whose established identity centers on positioning, control, and opportunistic damage. The value of those tools depends on the fight: crowd control and careful target selection remain important in the tactical combat Blizzard says it wants to preserve in Forever.
Forever-specific status
The Deep Dive describes a general design goal of distinct classes with meaningful strengths and weaknesses, but it does not list a Rogue-specific new ability or full talent changes. Across classes, selected buffs are planned to become baseline, level 16 is a talent milestone, and all 27 talent trees are intended to be viable group options. These are goals rather than promises of identical balance or final performance.
Skyborne of either faction can choose Rogue, according to Blizzard’s What’s Next recap. No Rogue-specific racial pairing is among the six additional combinations named at the Deep Dive. See the Skyborne guide and compatibility guide for current options.
