WoW Forever will add hundreds of items, including new gear with on-use and on-equip effects, Lead Software Engineer Nora Mills said during the What’s Next panel. The examples included a grave-digging weapon and updated versions of familiar items, showing how the team is revisiting loot throughout Azeroth.
A shovel with a graveyard use effect
The Graverobber’s Shovel is a unique two-handed mace requiring level 23. In the panel’s example, it had bonus Stamina and Attack Power, with additional Attack Power against Undead. Its use effect digs up a grave at Raven Hill Cemetery or the Scarlet Monastery Graveyard, with 20 charges and a two-minute cooldown.
The demonstration also showed Sharpened Cutlery, a thrown weapon, and updated stats for Tidal Charm and Whitemane’s Chapeau. Tidal Charm was shown stunning targets, with a longer effect against naga; Whitemane’s Chapeau gained caster stats and bonuses to healing, spell damage, and resurrection speed.
