Druids shift between forms and can fill different group needs. They are a flexible choice for players drawn to nature-themed magic and the option to adapt their approach to different situations.
Druid playstyle
Druids bring shapeshifting and role flexibility to the original nine-class roster. Their established identity rewards players who enjoy switching tools and responding to what a group or encounter needs. Exact Forever builds and performance should be judged from current testing, not assumed from older versions.
Skyborne forms and options
Blizzard’s What’s Next panel confirms that Skyborne can choose Druid regardless of faction and that the race will have Druid forms designed specifically for it. The panel also mentioned Skyborne racial abilities and visual customization options. Final form names, exact appearance, and tooltip details should be treated as unconfirmed until Blizzard publishes more or the game can be inspected.
What changes are confirmed?
The Deep Dive gives cross-class direction rather than a finalized Druid talent list: Forever aims to retain Classic’s deliberate combat and distinct strengths, moves selected class buffs to baseline, marks level 16 as a talent milestone, and seeks group viability for all 27 talent trees. These are design goals, not a promise of equal performance.
No new Druid combination is included among the six named at the Deep Dive; Skyborne Druid is separately part of the announced race’s faction roster. See the Skyborne guide and compatibility guide.
