Shamans call on elemental powers and use totems to support allies or strengthen their own attacks. The class is a fit for players who enjoy adapting their toolkit to the needs of a group and making use of both direct spells and utility.
Shaman playstyle
Shamans bring elemental damage and group support to Azeroth’s classic class roster. Their exact balance and talent choices in Forever must be judged from the current version; the project’s broad design target is to make classes distinct rather than erase differences between them.
New race options
Blizzard confirmed Dwarf Shaman as one of six new combinations. Horde-aligned Skyborne can also choose Shaman; Alliance-aligned Skyborne cannot select that faction-specific path under the announced roster. Shaman-specific changes: what remains open
The Deep Dive recap does not provide a finalized Shaman ability or talent-by-talent list. Blizzard’s cross-class talent goals include selected buffs moving to baseline, a level-16 talent milestone, and an intent for all 27 talent trees to be viable group options. Those are design intentions, not an assurance that every tree will perform equally. We’ll add Shaman-specific tooltips and tested advice as reliable details become available.
