Night Elf

Night Elves are an ancient people of Kalimdor whose stories connect to forests, long memory, and a close relationship with nature. This guide separates that enduring identity from Forever-specific details that Blizzard has not yet published.

Night Elf identity and playstyle

Choose a Night Elf if the ancient history and wooded landscapes of Kalimdor are part of what makes Azeroth compelling to you. Their culture is closely associated with nature and druidic traditions in Warcraft’s established setting, making the race an evocative fit for players who enjoy a world-facing, exploratory character story.

What Blizzard has confirmed for Forever

Blizzard says the racial system is being redesigned around two active and two passive abilities per race. The stated goal is to keep each race distinctive while bringing offensive value to a comparable range. The Deep Dive recap gives examples for Dwarves and the Undead, but does not provide a complete Night Elf ability list. Exact Night Elf tooltips and tuning therefore remain unconfirmed.

The six new race-and-class combinations named by Blizzard do not include a new Night Elf pairing. That is not a substitute for the full compatibility list; check the current race and class compatibility guide before treating any older version’s table as final for Forever.

Choosing a Night Elf character

Start with the race’s homeland, visual identity, and story, then choose a class whose moment-to-moment play appeals to you. We will update this page when Blizzard publishes Night Elf-specific abilities, class changes, or testing details. Explore the class hub and return to the Races & Classes hub for confirmed updates.
