Tauren are a Horde people of the plains whose traditions emphasize community, spirituality, and a close relationship with the land. In World of Warcraft: Forever, their confirmed options cover four classes, including Druid and Shaman. This guide summarizes Blizzard’s current class list and the published scope of racial changes.

Tauren identity and faction
Tauren are a Horde race with a strong connection to the plains of Kalimdor and the cultures that call them home. Their stories emphasize family, stewardship, and spiritual life. Choose Tauren if that perspective fits your character; choose a class based on the role you want in your group.
Tauren classes in Forever
Blizzard lists Druid, Hunter, Shaman, and Warrior for Tauren. Druid and Shaman connect naturally to nature and elemental themes; Hunter offers ranged attacks and a companion, while Warrior focuses on direct weapon combat. Learn more in the WoW Forever Druid guide, Shaman guide, or the classes hub.
Tauren racials and the Forever redesign
Blizzard describes a new racial framework with two active and two passive abilities per race. The design is meant to keep recognizable utility while bringing offensive value into a comparable range. The public character-creation overview does not provide a complete Tauren tooltip list or values. Check the current beta character screen for the in-game version; do not assume that older Classic racials or rankings remain accurate.

Choosing a Tauren class
Druid provides a flexible nature-focused class fantasy; Shaman leans into elemental powers; Hunter supports ranged and pet-based play; Warrior favors close-quarters weapon combat. Match the class to the role you enjoy and the needs of your group. Blizzard has not identified a universally strongest Tauren class or activity build.

September 24, 2026 beta update
The Cultivation racial now checks character level against the herb’s skill requirement: the player must be at least the herb’s required skill divided by five, allowing herbs requiring more than 300 skill at level 60. Blizzard’s notes place a separate Touch of the Grave change under the Tauren heading, but that racial is associated with Undead; see the Undead guide for the source discrepancy and current interpretation. All beta details remain subject to revision.
