Dwarf

Dwarves bring the stout traditions of Ironforge, a love of exploration, and a deep curiosity about the history buried beneath the mountains. Blizzard has shared several concrete examples of how Dwarf racial abilities are changing in World of Warcraft: Forever.

Dwarf identity and playstyle

Dwarves suit players drawn to resilient mountain communities, exploration, and the stories hidden in old ruins. Forever also opens a new class path for the race: Dwarf Shaman is one of the six combinations announced at the Deep Dive.

Confirmed Dwarf racial updates

Blizzard described a broad framework of two active and two passive racial abilities per race, tuned for comparable offensive value while preserving signature utility. The Dwarf examples include:

  • Stoneform: continues to address Bleeds, Poisons, and Diseases; its defensive bonus changes from increased Armor to reduced Physical damage taken.
  • Find Treasure: can remain active alongside other tracking abilities.
  • Mace Specialization: increases critical strike chance with spells and abilities while a mace is equipped.
  • Big Game Hunter: increases damage against Beasts.

These are the examples described in Blizzard’s Deep Dive recap; they should not be expanded into unannounced values or assumed optimal builds.

Dwarf Shaman

Dwarf Shaman is confirmed. The pairing combines Dwarven resilience and exploration with the Shaman’s elemental toolkit. Exact Forever talent interactions, ability numbers, and group rankings remain subject to official detail and testing. See our Shaman guide and compatibility guide for related information.
