WoW Forever Dwarf Guide: Classes, Shaman & Racials

Dwarves carry Ironforge’s mountain heritage, a tradition of exploration, and a strong connection to Azeroth’s buried history. In World of Warcraft: Forever, they also gain a newly announced class option: Shaman. This guide covers the current Alliance class list and the racial changes Blizzard has described.

Dwarf identity and faction

Dwarves are an Alliance race for players drawn to hardy mountain societies, old-world exploration, and the history of Ironforge. Their class selection gives you options across ranged combat, holy magic, healing, stealth, elemental support, and melee fighting.

Dwarf classes in Forever

Blizzard’s September 22 overview lists Dwarf access to Hunter, Paladin, Priest, Rogue, Shaman, and Warrior. Dwarf Shaman is one of six newly highlighted combinations. If you are comparing class roles, start with our WoW Forever Shaman guide, Paladin guide, or the complete classes hub.

What Blizzard has said about Dwarf racials

Forever is rebuilding each racial kit around two active and two passive abilities. The Deep Dive recap calls out several Dwarf adjustments:

  • Stoneform: retains its connection to Bleeds, Poisons, and Diseases, while its defensive bonus shifts from increased Armor to reduced Physical damage taken.
  • Find Treasure: can run at the same time as other tracking abilities.
  • Mace Specialization: increases critical strike chance with spells and abilities while a mace is equipped.
  • Big Game Hunter: increases damage against Beasts.

These are published examples, not a complete build recommendation. Check the current beta tooltip for values and interactions before planning around them.

Choosing a Dwarf class

Choose Shaman if the newly confirmed combination and elemental toolkit fit your idea of the race. Paladin and Priest cover different kinds of holy support, while Hunter, Rogue, and Warrior offer ranged, stealth, and weapon-focused play. Group needs and preferred role matter more than unverified rankings.
