Troll characters draw on Azeroth’s ancient histories, distinct tribal traditions, and fierce independence. In World of Warcraft: Forever, Trolls have one of the broadest class selections, including Warlock as a newly announced combination. This guide summarizes Blizzard’s class list and what is known about racial updates.
Troll identity and faction
Trolls are a Horde race whose varied peoples and long history give them a distinctive place in Azeroth’s story. Their class access makes them flexible if you want to play several kinds of caster, healer, ranged attacker, stealth fighter, or melee warrior under the same race fantasy.
Troll classes in Forever
Blizzard’s September 22 overview lists Hunter, Mage, Priest, Rogue, Shaman, Warlock, and Warrior. Troll Warlock is one of six newly announced race-and-class combinations. For related details, see our WoW Forever Warlock guide, Hunter guide, or the complete classes hub.
Racial abilities and the beta
Forever’s racial redesign provides each race two active and two passive abilities, with the stated goal of preserving identity while balancing offensive value across races. Blizzard’s public overview does not list every Troll ability or final value. Use current beta tooltips for exact effects; do not assume a racial ranking from another version settles Forever’s balance.
Choosing a Troll class
Trolls can cover many group needs. Priest offers healing and damage paths; Shaman brings elemental support; Hunter focuses on ranged attacks and a companion; Mage and Warlock offer distinct caster fantasies; Rogue favors stealth; Warrior focuses on weapon combat. Pick the gameplay you enjoy and confirm any beta-specific details with the current build.
