WoW Forever Guides: Leveling, Dungeons & More

Looking for WoW Forever guides? Start here. This directory brings Azeroth Plus’s practical guides into one place: leveling routes, character choices, the new Skyborne starting journey, dungeon and raid preparation, launch planning, and addon comparisons. Each spoke focuses on one decision so you can move from a broad question to a specific route without mistaking beta discoveries or plans for confirmed live-game facts.

Updated October 4, 2026. The WoW Forever beta currently allows characters to reach level 30; Blizzard’s October 1 development notes also added Excavation Site: Wetlands and opened Razorfen Downs and Uldaman. Blizzard says the beta is planned to run through October 21 and the game is scheduled to launch November 4. This page separates what is available now from what still needs confirmation. Check the current client and official notes whenever details matter.

Start here: choose the question you need answered

The best starting point depends on where you are in the journey. If you want a practical path from the first quest to the level cap, open the WoW Forever leveling guide. It lays out broad level bands, route choices, dungeon stops, and the difference between the current level-30 beta and the eventual 1–60 journey. If you are still deciding what to play, compare the race guides, the class guides, and the talent and Legacy overview before settling on a character.

New players can use the WoW Forever new player guide for the basic shape of the game, then return here for focused preparation. Skyborne players should read Starting as Skyborne alongside the Skyborne race guide: one covers the opening experience and the other covers the race itself. For a quick index of the content Azeroth Plus has published, jump to the guide library below.

Quick route: New to Azeroth? Start with the new-player overview, choose a race and class, then follow the leveling guide. Heading into a group? Read the dungeon or raid preparation checklist before you travel. Comparing navigation addons? Read the addon overview and each product’s current details before deciding.

WoW Forever guide library

These are focused spokes in the WoW Forever guides cluster. Each page should answer a distinct player question; the main leveling guide remains the detailed route resource, while this hub helps you find the right next page.

WoW Forever leveling guide: 1–60 routes and zones

Plan a route by level band, learn how to choose among nearby zones, and see what the current beta confirms. Includes the playable 1–30 range, a clearly labeled 30–60 planning framework, dungeon advice, and route links for Skyborne and the new regions.

Use it when: you want a standalone route plan that does not require a leveling addon.

Starting as Skyborne

Follow the new race’s opening journey, learn how to approach its starting zone, and find the points where race-specific guidance meets the broader leveling route. Verify quest order and travel instructions against the beta client.

Use it when: you are beginning a Skyborne character or helping a friend start one.

WoW Forever launch preparation

Organize your account, character plans, schedule, interface, and first-session checklist before launch. Keep expectations flexible: launch-day service details and final content can change, so rely on Blizzard’s current announcement for dates and access rules.

Use it when: you want a calm, practical checklist rather than a speculative launch-day script.

WoW Forever dungeon preparation

Prepare for group runs by checking the instance level range, collecting quests, repairing, carrying useful supplies, and agreeing on a pace. Use the dungeon hub for instance-specific pages and current access details.

Use it when: you are joining a group or trying a dungeon role for the first time.

WoW Forever raid preparation

Build a sensible preparation routine around group communication, role expectations, consumables, encounter learning, and the actual raid content available in the current build. The raid hub tracks raid-specific coverage as it becomes verifiable.

Use it when: you are planning ahead for a raid, organizing friends, or learning how to prepare as a role.

WoW Forever addons and guide tools

Understand what an addon can and cannot do, compare route-navigation options, and decide whether you prefer in-game steps or a self-guided route. Addon instructions can lag behind a beta patch, so verify version support and follow the game’s current quest log.

Use it when: you are choosing a leveling or navigation addon—or deciding to play without one.

Plan a character without getting trapped by a “best” list

Race, class, talents, and playstyle fit together, but they answer different questions. Race determines the character’s identity, starting experience, and available combinations. Class determines your toolkit and role options. Talents add choices as you progress. None of those alone can tell you whether a character will feel right during a long leveling journey.

  • Start with the activity you enjoy. Do you want to explore alone, support a group, fight at range, get into melee, gather materials, or move between several roles? Use the class hub to compare toolkits, not to chase a universal winner.
  • Check race and class availability. Use the race overview and its individual race spokes to confirm combinations. The Skyborne are a new Forever race with their own starting zone; do not assume their opening is identical to the original races.
  • Understand the talent system as it exists. The Forever talents guide explains class-tree milestones and account-wide Legacy choices. Costs, effects, and beta tuning can change; check current in-game tooltips before spending points.
  • Leave room to learn. Your first character is a chance to understand trainers, equipment, professions, flight paths, group roles, and questing. A less familiar class may be more rewarding than selecting a class from an outdated tier list.

When friends are playing, agree on a level range and a rough destination, not a rigid step-by-step itinerary. Different races begin in different places; some quests are class-specific; and a beta build can change access or balance. If someone falls behind, pause to regroup or choose a shared nearby objective. A small amount of coordination prevents repeated cross-continent travel.

A flexible leveling framework for the beta and beyond

WoW Forever is designed around a level 1–60 journey, but the current beta only exposes a portion of that journey at a time. Blizzard raised the beta cap to 30 on October 1, 2026. That means a responsible guide can describe current 1–30 play and offer cautious planning for later levels; it cannot honestly claim a confirmed full-game quest sequence where Blizzard has not published one.

StageHow to planConfidence
Opening levelsFollow your race’s available starting quests, visit trainers when useful, and learn the class basics before taking long trips.Use the live quest log and starting-zone instructions.
Early worldChoose nearby faction routes and collect several quests in one area before traveling. Move on when the quest levels or enemy difficulty stop fitting.Classic-world route knowledge is a guide; beta quest tuning takes priority.
Current mid-level betaPlan around the level-30 cap and the content available in your build. Check dungeon levels, current zone quests, and patch notes before committing to a route.Playable beta content; details may change between builds.
Levels above 30Treat original-Azeroth routes as a flexible baseline and new Forever zones as future options whose exact brackets should be verified.Planning only until Blizzard opens content or confirms specifics.

A route is a set of good next choices, not a promise that every character should follow the same chain. Before leaving a region, ask: Are there quests near my level? Can my character handle the local enemies and travel? Is there a useful flight point, class trainer, profession stop, dungeon quest, or group objective along the way? If the answers point elsewhere, change zones. This is more reliable than grinding a camp because an old guide says a particular level should be spent there.

For a detailed set of level bands and links to areas, use the complete leveling guide. For map context and zone-specific coverage, browse the WoW Forever zones hub. It currently links to pages for Zephras Isle, Riverglades, Mount Hyjal, and Shen’dralas; consult Blizzard’s latest announcements to tell planned or upcoming areas from content currently playable in your build.

Prepare for dungeons, raids, and group play

Group content is more enjoyable when the party agrees on the basics before the first pull. Check the level range and travel route, collect available dungeon quests, repair your gear, and say whether the group plans to quest, explore, or move quickly. Tanks, healers, damage dealers, and utility classes contribute differently; new players should feel comfortable saying they are learning. A party can adjust its pace when expectations are clear.

As of Blizzard’s October 1 beta notes, Excavation Site: Wetlands opened for levels 26–31, and Razorfen Downs (25+) and Uldaman (30+) became available alongside earlier dungeons. Those requirements are a useful dated snapshot, not a promise that future tuning will be identical. Check the client before traveling and use the dungeon guide hub for specific instance coverage. For raid preparation, start at the WoW Forever raids hub and review the raid preparation checklist.

Do not treat every dungeon as mandatory for leveling or assume that every announced raid is already available. Some groups want a fast quest route; others want to explore every room. Both are valid. Choose runs that fit your level, friends, and schedule, and check official release notes before relying on a reward, boss, entrance, or access requirement.

Leveling addons are optional tools, not the source of truth

A route addon can put directions on screen, help keep a long quest chain organized, or let a returning player move through familiar content efficiently. It can also lag behind a patch, assume a route that does not match your race or faction, or mark steps differently from a beta client. Your quest log, map, current tooltips, and official notes remain the final check.

Read the addons overview to compare what route tools are for and what to verify. If you want a self-guided route, the Azeroth Plus leveling guide is designed to stand on its own. If you prefer in-game step-by-step directions, you can compare the products’ current WoW Forever coverage:

How we separate confirmed details from plans

Forever is being tested in beta, so details can move quickly. Azeroth Plus labels information by evidence: official Blizzard announcements and development notes; features observed in the live beta; and editorial route suggestions based on familiar Classic-era geography. A zone’s name in an announcement does not prove its exact level bracket, quest order, or current availability. A datamined detail is not automatically a confirmed feature. We update guides when new official notes or playable builds materially change the answer.

For the current baseline, see Blizzard’s October 1 beta development notes, the official beta announcement, and Blizzard’s World of Warcraft: Forever overview. For broader background, browse the WoW Forever hub, latest news, systems coverage, PvP guides, and profession guides.

If you spot a mismatch, send us the URL, section heading, beta build, and what you saw through the contact page. That gives us enough context to verify and correct the right detail.

WoW Forever guides FAQ

Where should I start if I have never played WoW?

Begin with the new player guide, then choose a race and class using the race hub and class hub. Use the leveling guide for a flexible route and return to this page when you need a specific preparation resource.

Is the WoW Forever leveling guide a confirmed 1–60 walkthrough?

It covers current beta play and marks later levels as planning guidance. The beta is currently capped at 30, so a complete playable 1–60 route is not yet available in the test. We will update the upper-level sections as the content opens and reliable route details are confirmed.

Do I need a leveling addon to level?

No. You can use the in-game map and quest log with the free Azeroth Plus leveling guide. Addons and guided routes are optional; check current client compatibility before relying on one.

Are new zones and dungeons already playable?

Availability depends on the current beta build. Blizzard’s October 1 notes document the level-30 cap and several newly available dungeons. Check those notes and the client before treating an announced location or future route as playable.

How often are these guides updated?

We revise a guide when official notes, an accessible beta build, or verified in-game evidence changes an answer. Each page should state when a fact is a dated beta snapshot or a planning suggestion.
